Our approach
Horse Racing Companion prioritizes plain language, strong hierarchy, large touch targets, and labels that do not rely on color alone. Accessibility is an ongoing part of design and regression testing, not a one-time certification.
In the app
- Support for iOS light and dark appearance.
- Layouts tested with larger text sizes and compact iPhone screens.
- VoiceOver-oriented labels and semantic button and heading roles on primary flows.
- Text labels alongside color for Preliminary, Final, and No bet status.
- Large program-number badges paired with horse names to reduce ambiguity.
- A teller-ready view designed for quick reading or showing at the window.
Because live race data can be dense and third-party information may vary, some screens may not yet work perfectly with every assistive technology or text size.
On this website
The site uses semantic headings and navigation, visible keyboard focus, a skip link, responsive layouts, reduced-motion preferences, increased-contrast preferences, descriptive image alternatives, and no interaction that requires JavaScript.
Accessibility feedback
If a feature is difficult to use, email feedback@horseracingcompanion.com. Include the screen, device, iOS version, assistive technology, text-size setting, and what you were trying to do. We will use that information to investigate and prioritize a fix.
